The Michigan Engineers' Resource Library (MERL) is a software suite that helps transportation engineers create road and bridge project estimates, enter and analyze bids for local jobs, and track daily postings and payment estimates. In addition, MERL provides access to various Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) resource documents. MERL was created by the Center for Technology & Training (CTT) at Michigan Technological University. (Read more)

MERL Update Available – 2020.9

An update to MERL 2020.9 is now available for download. The update and the complete list of changes for MERL 2020.9 are available at MERL Downloads

Changes in this release include updates for Pay Items and Average Unit Price as well as some additional validation required for submission of an estimate to MDOT along with various bug fixes and enhancements.



Update to Average Unit Prices for 2016 Aeronautic Pay Item Codes

The Average Unit Prices for the 2016 Aeronautic Pay Item codes has been updated through 12/31/2019.

Users running version 2017.5 or newer can access the Average Unit Price downloads by selecting the Tools option within the main menu and then selecting Check for Lookup Data Updates
